Coventry University

CU has experience in the delivery of Framework Programme activity dating back to FP2. Currently, the University is engaged in over 20 FP7 projects, with 10 of these as co-ordinator. These projects are mainly across the COOPERATION and PEOPLE Programmes. As a result of this, Coventry researchers and support staff are well aware with the reporting requirements of these collaborative projects (both technical and financial) and working with multi-national partners to deliver projects that have a real impact to the EU. In addition to Framework Programme experience, the University is fully engaged with other strands of European funding. Further European collaborative management experience exists from lead and partner roles on Programmes such as Lifelong Learning, Intelligent Energy Europe and EuropeAid. The University currently occupies a purpose-built 33-acre (130,000 m2) campus in Coventry City Centre.

Define the requirements for the demonstrator in Coventry City Council. Provide a demo building. Previous experiences on demonstration projects indicate that the activities related with works on construction sector can be affected by different unforeseen situations. The main objective of this WP is establishing a common structure for commissioning the energy measures and data acquisition systems, assessing the district performance after retrofitting, supported mainly by the WP5 and WP4, which allows obtaining good results (energy savings assessment, economic analysis, social acceptance evaluation, LCA of the retrofitting).
