The Coventry University district has common problems directly related with heating losses, discomfort and very high energy consumption. The foreseen energy efficiency measures will be focused on reducing thermal consumption (insulation improvements and ICTs implementation), to reduce electrical consumption, and also to reduce CO² emissions by means of renewable energy systems such as solar PV and solar thermal.

DEMO SITES

John Laing Building

The John Laing Building is situated in Coventry, UK and is one of the chosen demo sites for the RESSEEPE project. It is part of the Coventry University district and has common problems directly related with heating losses, discomfort and very high energy consumption. This building has been chosen to test different prototypes of innovative technologies for the RESSEEPE project such as Super-insulating Mortar, Vacuum Insulated Panels, Electrochromic Windows, LED Lighting, Ventilated Façade and Phase Change Material technology.

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Seventh Framework Programme for research, technological development and demonstration under Grant Agreement no: 609377
