Demo Sites

Balderskolan (Skellefea, Sweden)

To reduce the energy consumption in this Public School District, it will be necessary to emphasize the use of passive or low cost solutions (insulation improvements) with a large use of natural environmental resources (solar energy, natural ventilation, natural daylight) with the help of automation building system.

Coventry University George Eliot, Coventry UK

Balderskolan, Skelleftea

Balderskolan Secondary School has been chosen as one of the demo sites for the RESSEEPE project. It is located in Skelleftea, Sweden and has common problems directly related with heating losses, discomfort and very high energy consumption. This video shows the potential technologies that will be chosen to retrofit this site to reduce energy consumption, including Super-insulating Mortar, Vacuum Insulated Panels, LED Lighting, Seasonal Thermal Energy Storage and Electrochromic Windows.

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Seventh Framework Programme for research, technological development and demonstration under Grant Agreement no: 609377
